Julie Laforce comes to BBN with an intentional focus on the advancement and support of our team members as we aspire to be the best place to work in our beautiful, little piece of Vermont. Her role is a collaborative effort with Human Resources and team leaders in ensuring that BBN offers an environment that supports the well being of our valued team members.
With a sincere desire to ensure nothing less than the best working environment for our team members, Arla Masson’s role is instrumental in the success of fostering a culture of learning, trust, and kindness that is undeniably what separates Built by Newport from the rest. From seeking out training opportunities to celebrating individual milestones, Arla continuously strives to support the well being or our BBN family.
With over 35 years of experience at Built by Newport, Paul Gariepy is a seasoned teacher of all things involving the production and flow of products. Nothing brings more excitement to his day than the opportunity to invite others to learn the tricks of the trade that he has learned and grown in over the years. His mantra – “safe, on-time, and on-quality”and we love him for it!
For over 10 years at Built by Newport, David Legacy has had a vital role in new product development initiatives. His ability to capture the essence of the customer’s vision for a product and to bring those designs to life so they become a manufacturing reality is second to none. Partnering with our customers, Dave’s talent for designing beautiful furniture is simply what makes him tick!

Having served in a variety of areas at BBN, she has developed a thorough understanding of their needs. With that awareness, she goes above and beyond to ensure that communication is both efficient and effective.
With over 20 years of experience at BBN, Nancy’s role is an integral step to guaranteeing the best in quality and on time results for our customers. She works hand in hand with all our vendor partners, all of whom are a critical part of our success. We are so grateful for her attention to detail and dedication to our vendor relationships.
As a part time member of our team, Deb serves in a supportive role regarding our financial affairs. Her expertise comes with her many years of experience working as an independent finance agent for a number of organizations in our community.
Having been with our team since 1992, Tony’s knowledge of all areas in production translates perfectly to his role as Director of Quality Control. There is only one area in our entire factory in which Tony has not worked. As a result, he thrives at ensuring that our products are the best in quality and in training the next generation of wood workers at BBN.
As one of our most recent leaders, Taylor has quickly established himself in our organization. As the Director of Product Implementation, his passion for taking products from initial concept to real life is evident to all. Whether processing an initial sample or attending to the final details of a new product as it enters into full production, Taylor’s care and dedication to our customers’ needs is bar none.
As a member of our Product Implementation Team, Dena develops programs for a variety of equipment to effectively and efficiently produce the parts we need. Bringing her gift for attention to detail, she is well acquainted with what it takes to bring a beautiful design to life on the production floor. Collaboration is key and Dena has both the creativity and the experience that we treasure.
As the newest member of the Product Implementation Team, Benjamin started working at BBN through an internship program with our local high school. Having a passion for CAD and displaying a joy for finding solutions in manufacturing complex parts, we quickly recognized that Benjamin would be a wonderful asset as a permanent member of our team.
With over 45 years of service, Yvon is one of our original employees from the foundational years of Built by Newport. Having seen and experienced the evolution of the furniture industry in the US, he has been instrumental in our efforts for constant improvement. Serving as a Process Improvement Technician, he makes the impossible happen. Whether he is fabricating a custom jig to improve a safety process or he is preparing products to meet our customers’ BIFMA standard needs, Yvon is our resident expert.
As with any manufacturing facility, the engine needs to keep running. Rock is an integral part of our organization’s ability to service our clients. Ensuring all our equipment meets our safety, quality, service, and productivity expectations, Rock’s name is synonymous with reliability. From our fleet of CNC machines to our assembly and finishing equipment, his dedication to maintenance ensures our ability to service our customers on time and on quality.
